Hi, I’m Liz Vanderhoef. I’m a Licensed Family Dog Mediator and behavior consultant specializing in reactive, sensitive, and often misunderstood dogs. My work focuses on helping both dogs and their people understand what’s actually driving behavior so they can move forward with more clarity and less guesswork. My approach blends behavior science with real-world application. Whether I’m working through reactivity, building skills, or supporting dogs who need a more individualized pace, the goal is always the same: helping dogs feel more capable and helping people understand how to support them. And yes, sometimes that means explaining that it’s not stubbornness, it’s stress… more than once.
